.Net Developer - Store Systems
As a .NET programmer you will be responsible for designing and developing both client and web applications using existing tools and frameworks. The position requires knowledge in VB6 and VB.NET development and a good understanding of the ADO.NET and SQL experience. The programmer will be responsible for support and maintenance of existing VB applications, and will be required to document all designs and participate in design and code reviews. Additional tasks and responsibilities are assigned as necessary and based upon business needs.
Core technologies: VB6, VB.NET, ADO.NET, VBA, SQL
Tools and Frameworks: Visual Basic 2003
Methodology: Object Oriented Methodology, Design Patterns, UML, Agile & RUP Practices
Operating Systems: Windows XP, AS400-AIX
Application Servers: Windows
Databases: Oracle and IBM DB2
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Web and client based application design and development. Design and develop applications for the business leveraging existing tools. Participate in Unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing of all applications. Will be required to document designs and participate in design and code reviews. Will help in researching and testing new technologies and procedures. Will be required to follow all existing development procedures.
Support and maintenance of existing applications Assist in supporting existing VB applications leveraged across the enterprise. Work with support center and 2nd level support.
• BS in a Computer Related Major and/or 3 plus years of IT specific career experience
• Retail Experience is a plus but not mandatory
• Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with people from various departments
