The QA Analyst position will ensure reliable releases of corporate software systems through the execution of testing methodologies.  These methodologies can include Quality Assurance testing of proposed applications and systems code through development of testing plans, benchmark standards and testing requirements.  The candidate will examine and understand published business specifications, implement test designs and execute both manual and automated procedures to certify fully functional applications.  Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

Participate in project design meetings to analyze customer requirements against testing / operations experience and business intelligence, to assist in the development of technical operational specs, testing procedures and testing standards as requested.
Independently validate a wide variety of applications and systems utilizing manual testing procedures in a cursory learning capacity.  Expand the validation through the development and execution of automated testing scripts under the testing tools available.
Read and interpret business requirement documentation provided by the Business Process Team.
Identify and clearly document all defects and observations discovered during the review and testing process.  Provide feedback to all Design Team members, Developers and Project Managers related to findings.
Utilize current internal defect reporting tools to report and track defects.
Plan job tasks consistent with individual project deadlines based on best judgment, goal objectives and proactive interaction with other project teams.
Maintain a service orientated culture focusing on delivering timely and highly accurate results to other project teams.
Assist other analysts in training, mentoring and conveying acquired experiences.
Maintain administrative duties such as project status reporting to management.
Identify, recommend and implement QA technology related improvements to the QA Testing methodologies and practices of the department. 
Position requirements include; a BS/BA degree in a computer software or related field preferred, and one to three years software development, QA Testing or equivalent experience with a min. of 2 years Software Testing experience or educational equivalent.  Must possess experience in some of the following PC environments; MS Office, VBScript or coding equivalent, database experience, networking, software development practices and/or emerging technologies in Applications Testing.  The ideal candidate must demonstrate familiarity of and experience with QA methodologies and processes, including; planning, implementation and testing phases.  Must be a self-starter with efficient organizational skills; possess good written /communication skills; ability to complete assignments in a timely manner; handle multiple tasks concurrently; ability to be a team player; note attention to detail and design/execute project plans.  Must be able to determine testing scopes from user requirements and possess an intuitive ability to assess defects, thereby efficiently pinpointing issues.
